Jonah Malvey is a senior Interactive Multimedia major at The College of New Jersey. He has knowledge and experience in digital advertising as well as music production and promotion.
This project is an experiment in running a multimedia brand development campaign. It uses content creation, social media marketing, and paid media marketing to create a comprehensive multimedia marketing to drive traffic to an artist’s website.
COVID-19 caused the school to lockdown, denying me access to the school’s recording studio. Losing access to the studio felt devastating to me at the time. I was able to rethink my project and adapt to the equipment I had access to at home. I worked online with other musicians, sending each other tracks to add to each other’s songs.
Process and Tools
I wrote, recorded, and produced music for my band using Logic Pro. I used social media and facebook ads manager to promote my music.
Writing and recording music has always been a passion of mine. This gives me the opportunity to seriously develop a musical project and learn digital media marketing skills.
I plan on working part time and pursuing music for a year after I graduate. This will give me a great portfolio piece to show off my music production and digital marketing skills.
