What is Corporate Grief?
Our thesis is a turned-based RPG that tells the story of an average yuppie who receives a fax from “Destiny” requesting he ‘save the world’. On his boss’ request, he embarks on this unwanted adventure to do just that. It is your job to get him through the work week surviving the chaos of the life of a hero. When Corporate Grief needed a hero, and none of us knew how to code (nor wanted to), Leo stepped in and offered to code our entire game out of the kindness of his heart (or boredom).
Murph animated our opening sequence to corporate grief and will continue to help with additional pixel art in the near future of Corporate Grief.
Our Protagonist
The main character of our game is a middle-aged man who has been working at The World LLC. for as long as he can remember. Despite this fact, he has no real clue what they do, yet, he is still interested in the concept of moving up in the company. The second main character is a high-energy and motivated young adult heroine by the code name Freethinker. She has only just started her hero journey but she is eager to make a difference. However, she has a big problem when it comes to her information filtering. Freethinker seems to accept any news as truthful even if it has blaring inconsistencies. This has led her to some strange conflicts that

One of the possible heroes in the game is none other than Dr. Malcom Practice, a genius entomologist with a fascination for wasps in particular.
