Respect The Locals

Class of 2026 Culture & Technology

Who am I?

Hi!! I’m Kelsey Daly 🙂

I am a Senior Interactive Multimedia major and Graphic Design minor. I have a huge passion in designing and I love animals and the earth!

I love to travel and experience everything the earth has to offer, and I strive to promote that to others. 🙂

My Thesis was inspired by the many places I have been to, because they all deserve to be protected.

Some places that inspired me v

What is Respect The Locals?

RTL is a series of multimedia designs that are meant to raise awareness to the rising numbers of endangered plants and animals while also being something you’d want to put on your wall or water bottles.

Part of the proceeds are getting donated to the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey to directly support wildlife

What I learned from this project!

Sucesses!

This project allowed me to experiment with all of the mediums I’ve learned throughout my time at TCNJ. I took a strong liking to digital media and creating designs through Adobe products such as Illustrator and Photoshop, and bringing those designs to life in the Makerspace.

It was a perfect outlet to be creative, and make something portfolio worthy.

Failures :/

My thoughts on AI

I had switched my idea a little bit before half way through the semester, which left me with not a lot of time to workshop and create, but what designer doesn’t work best with tight constraints!

Booooooooo.

As someone who cares very deeply about the environment I do not support the use of AI. I did not use it in any process of my thesis project.

Here is an article from Earth.org if you’d like to read the effects of AI on the environment more 🙂

In the perfect world I would have ample amount of time to create, but with the time I had I finished all of my goals.
