An Animated Music Video

A trailer for my animated music video, the beginning of a series of short, animated films based on original music written by myself and produced by my friend Aidan Rogers.
THERAPY
Therapyis based on my experiences throughout childhood, and how it molded me into the person I was sophomore year (when I originally wrote this song). This trailer was animated in a traditional 2D style, using the program Clip Studio Paint. Since I worked alone on this project, I got to experience every position in the animation process. I was the storyboarder, Animator, compositor, editor, and composer. I now have a better understanding of the time it takes to complete an animation like this, as well as a better grasp of the storyboarding process itself. I created both a hand-drawn and an animated storyboard in the beginning of last semester to organize my ideas and develop a storyline across the frames.
About ME
My name is Shane McGowan, and I am an Interactive Multimedia Major with minors in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, pursuing a career in storyboarding. I have been making music and drawing cartoons since I was a kid, and I am excited to put the two together and have it showcased through my senior thesis.
